Inflatable Pool Rafts
Inflatable pool rafts are great for soaking in the pool on a hot summer day, especially when you have a group of your best pals with you and maybe some nice refreshing drinks as well. Throw in a little poolside music, and you have a perfect afternoon of lounging and relaxing. But the thing about these little pool rafts is they have to be cute. They have to be cool either with cool designs or cool features. They have to be different from one another or it will look like you have a floating armada of raft clones out there. Besides, if you don’t have different ones, how will your children ever have screaming fits and fights about who gets the blue one this time? Ah, will summer ever be the same without the ear shattering wail of a child who didn’t get their color choice, again?
Pool rafts can range in size from the shorter ones that allow you to hold on with your upper body and kick with your lower body in the water. These can be used for kids who are trying to learn how to swim (with adult supervision, of course). There are long and narrow rafts that will hold a single child or adult. These are typically the lowest cost option and may not be that durable, but usually last through an entire summer season without a problem.
Other options include rafts that have transparent windows which allow you to lie on your stomach and look at the water below you. Of course, in a swimming pool, the only thing you are likely to see is your son’s face as he swims beneath you for the five hundredth time. Some have an elevated cushion that allows you to relax, and others may have a small hole so that you can dangle your feet in the water. Deluxe rafts may have a drink holder, which is great for your pool party fun.
Having a pool usually means that you will have more company that usual at your house. You have worked so hard to create a certain appearance and you can enhance that with cute, colorful rafts or uniquely designed string lights that fit in your theme. Some people choose to buy pool toys and inflatable items that match the furniture on their deck, while others choose to just buy whatever catches their eye at the time.
If your home has small children, all rafts should be removed from the pool area, particularly one that is not gated, so that they do not try to get on one without supervision. It is also important that the child who cannot swim not think that these are going to be safe for them. Keep the kids safe so that there are lots of times to fight over the blue, inflatable pool rafts, over and over and over.
